The FD, or Fairway Driver, is a straight-flying fairway driver with high glide. This disc is noticeable for holding lines well, and is versatile enough to be a workhorse for players of all levels. A notable trait of the FD is its straight flight for both power throwers and slower arms. Innova- and Discmania-made FDs are extremely similar, however Discmania-made runs tend to be less tall and slightly more overstable.

The FD was the first true fairway sold by Discmania, and was released under the names FD, Fairway Driver, and Jackal in 2012. It was a huge success, so Discmania prioritized reapproval for their Originals Line after splitting with Innova. Pros known for throwing FDs include Ella Hansen, Nate Perkins, Simon Lizotte, and Silas Schultz. There are many collectible versions of FD, including Nate Perkins’ Night Strike series, Lizotte FDs, and Innova-made runs.

DiameterHow wide the disc is, edge to edge. Almost every disc is 21 to 22 cm.
