Frigate

The Frigate is an Albatross distance-driver-class mold, named for the warship in keeping with the brand's early nautical naming.

The PDGA approved it on Feb 8, 2018 under certification 18-13, recording a 21.2 cm diameter, 2.2 cm rim, 1.5 cm height, and 1.2 cm rim depth. The wide rim and low profile place it in driver territory, but Albatross has published no flight numbers for it and the dimensions cannot establish glide, turn, fade, or stability.

It comes from Albatross Disc Golf, a disc golf company based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota that also runs the Albatross Disc Golf Tour. It is one of six molds Albatross certified together on a single day in February 2018, the brand's original lineup. No named plastic family or numeric material properties were discoverable, so no plastic runs are listed.
