Epic

The Epic is Aerobie's asymmetric distance driver, and the outlier of this catalogue on the numbers. The PDGA records its rim thickness at 4.1 cm, the widest of all 2,419 discs in the association's August 2026 approved-disc export; the next widest in that same list measure 2.6 cm. The Epic holds the other end of that list too: its inside rim diameter, 14.5 cm on the record in that August 2026 export and 14.4 cm on the newer certification, is the smallest of the 2,419, for the same reason. The wing takes the room. The certification photographs show the asymmetry plainly, a broad wing on one side of the mold tapering to a narrow one opposite.

Its flight fields here are empty. No four-number rating for the Epic appears in the sources traced for this page, and the disc itself carries none: the stamp reads Aerobie Disc Golf, Epic, Ultra Long Range Driver. TryDiscs files it as a distance driver on that wing.

The mold holds two certifications. The PDGA approved the original on April 16, 2003 under certification 03-07, and re-approved the mold on September 7, 2026 under certification 26-120, listing it as Epic Driver (new) beside the older record. This page carries the newer measurements. The two records differ in small, readable ways: a 21.0 cm diameter against 21.1, a 1.5 cm height against 1.4, a 14.4 cm inside rim against 14.5, a 174.3 g maximum weight against 175.1, and a flexibility of 10.68 kg against the original's 12.02, which makes the newer sample the softer of the two.

Aerobie belongs to Spin Master. As of September 2026 the brand's own site sold a beginner three-disc set and listed no Epic, and every Aerobie mold on this site is marked out of production. Our plastics data records no run for the Epic.
